This is the Island Usedom.
There are two schools in the building : Primary and Comprehensive. Children
start school at the age of six as they join the Primary School. The
Comprehensive School starts at Year Five (at the age of 10). |

We have
170 students and 20 teachers, a secretary, a caretaker and three cleaning
ladies. The school is lead by the Headmistress supported by the Headmistress
Assistant. |

The school year is divided into two terms. At the end of each term, the
students get their school reports. Their work is graded from 1 to 6, 1 being
excellent, 2- good, 3- satisfactory, 4 - mediocre, 5 - poor, 6 - very bad.

The Primary School has 12 rooms while the Comprehensive School has 27
classrooms. There is a big kitchen, a room for Art lessons, a Music room, a
Physics room, a Science room, a Computer room, a Biology room and a staff
room. There is a special room where students can do their homework in the
afternoon, another one to spend hours free from lessons and a number of
smaller rooms with books on various subiects where teachers and students
alike can work. |

All classrooms are equipped with an overhead projector, some have a DVD or a
VHS player, a TV, a green board or an
interactive “smart” board. Calendars, posters, pictures and flowers make our
classrooms nice and cheerful. There is also a gym, a track and other
outdoor facilities. Important school events take place in our new Hall.
Overlooking a pine forest, it seats 150 people and boasts modern stage
